Kibō Studio's roots are in building communities beyond distance, especially in the age of social distancing.
In 2020, the studio's first brush with the local pottery community started as a way to give back to the community. Through partnerships with local youth organizations like KidsforKids, UP Volunteers for Children, and Kaayo, we discovered that lots of Filipinos wanted to learn how to make their own pottery at home.
That’s when our online classes started to take shape.
A short year later, Kibō Studio has grown into a small, yet vibrant pottery collective in Makati, Philippines that focuses on growth and collaboration.
Our monthly online classes have introduced hundreds of individuals from all over the Philippines to the joys of hand-building pottery for fun and function. We believe anyone can learn something new and excel at their craft – all it takes is a little bit of support.
Pottery is for everyone, everywhere. This is the place to get started.
